In time people have grown a tendency to use to use fictional elements in every kind of media to make it more interesting so that people will use them. Because of that the human mind has reached such a stage that they can believe that everything is possible. And that’s not limited only to the facts of science. It concerns a simple fact as well a description of a scenery or event. It is important that people continue to question simple facts, so that they can distinguish reality from fantasy.
This bachelor paper is about the autobiographic and autofictional elements in Max Frisch`s novel “Montauk”. This paper was made with the target to determine, that a Story written by authors that has a background of the real life of the authors, but are written from they`re memory, can possibly be counted as a scientific source on which people can write biographys of the authors. In autobiography the main information source is the memories of the author, and that makes it more possible that a author can lie in his work to make the story more appealing to the reader. And if the author has written too much fictional elements in his work, then in the case if the autobiography is used as one of the sources in a biography then it could lead to a possibility that there will appear fake information about the author which can be harmful for a person in many ways.
At the end of this bachelor paper, there a conclusion about the possibility that a authors written literary works, who are based on the life of the author, contains enough real information, that they can be used as scientific sources for biographys or other scientific papers.
