Kokapstrādes terminoloģijas vārdnīcas izveide tehnikumu studentiem

Abstract

Kokapstrāde ir viena no galvenajām nozarēm Latvijas Republikā, bet digitālo tehnoloģiju attīstība ietekmē izmaiņas nozarē un izglītības procesu tehnikumos. Vārdnīcu lietojuma izpēte un tulkošanas prasmju analīze tehnikumos atklāj kokapstrādes terminu vārdnīcas izveides nepieciešamību. Pētījumā kā metode izmantota aptauja; lai iegūtu datus, tika aptaujāti kokapstrādes specialitātes apgūstoši studenti, vadoši nozares eksperti un profesiju skolotāji. Aptaujā tika noskaidroti skolnieku vārdnīcu lietojuma paradumi tulkojot un ekspertu viedokļi par nozares terminoloģijas problemātiku un izglītības procesa perspektīvām. Tika secināts, ka kokapstrādei kā profesijai ir nākotne Latvijā un sagatavoti ieteikumi profesionālās terminoloģijas vārdnīcas izveidei. Woodworking is one of the main industries in the Republic of Latvia. However, digital technologies influence rapid change in the field, and the educational process as well. Study of the dictionary use and translation skills in technical schools suggests necessity for designing the woodworking terminology dictionary. The research method applied is a survey; the woodworking speciality students, leading representatives of the branch and the vocational teachers were surveyed and the questionnaires were applied to collect data on students’ dictionary use habits when translating, and experts’ viewpoint on the branch terminology issues and the perspective of the education process. It has been concluded that the woodworking profession has a future in Latvia, and there is a need to design a professional terminology glossary for the students, to support the education process in the field.
