Mitoloģiskie elementi latviešu un norvēģu rokmūzikā 20. gadsimta 90. gados

Abstract

Rokmūzikas dziesmu teksti atspoguļo paaudžu sociālās un kulturālās problēmas konkrētā laika periodā, kā arī ietekmē mūzikas klausītājus. Dziesmu tekstu rakstītāja un lasītāja attiecības iepriekš nav pētītas tuvāk. 20.gadsimta 90.gadi izceļas ar to, ka šajā desmitgadē parādījās vairāki jauni rokmūzikas paveidi, kuru ideoloģijas ietvaros bija vēsturiskā mantojuma saglabāšana un popularizēšana. Šajā darbā tiek pētīti mitoloģijas elementi Latviešu un Norvēģu rokmūzikā ar mērķi noskaidrot šo elementu lomu dziesmu tekstos. Lai izpētītu mitoloģisko elementu pielietojumu rokmūzikā, tika vākti dažādu rokmūzikas žanru dziesmu teksti. Darba veikšanai tika pielietota stāstījuma analīze un kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze. Pētījuma rezultāti rādīja, ka rokmūzikas dziesmu tekstos sastopamas visas mitoloģisko elementu grupas, īpaši tās, kas saistītas ar karu, vardarbību un autoritāti. Tika konstatēts, ka Norvēģu rokmūzikā mitoloģiskie elementi sastopami tikai ekstrēmos mūzikas žanros.

Rock music lyrics represent social and cultural issues of a generation within a specific period of time and influence a particular audience. The relations between the writer and the reader of the song texts have not been analysed in detail. The time frame of the 1990s refers to a major development of new rock music genres that deal with sustaining the historical legacy of a culture. This paper investigates the use of mythological elements in rock music lyrics in Latvia and Norway in order to locate the connotation that these elements carry. A collection of rock music song lyrics were systematically analysed according to presence of categories of mythological elements. The research methods were narrative analysis and qualitative directed content analysis. The investigation of the data indicated that the rock music lyrics represent all of the defined categories, especially the ones dealing with war, violence and authority.
