Bakalaura darba “Stila apzīmējumi angļu vienvalodas vārdnīcās” tēma ir mūsdienu vārdnīcu svarīga sastāvdaļa – vārdu stila apzīmējumi. Darba tēmas izpētes metodes ir gan teorētiskas, gan praktiskas. Teorētiskās metodes ietver teorijas materiālu izpēti un analīzi. Praktiskā daļa ir divu vārdnīcu, kas domātas angļu valodas apguvējiem, un divu vārdnīcu, kas domātas angļu valodas nesējiem, analīze. Darbs sastāv no 5 nodaļām. Pirmās 4 nodaļas pēta teoriju par doto tematu. 5. nodaļa ir darba praktiskā daļa – vārdnīcu ievaddaļu un apzīmētā vārdu krājuma analīze. Secinājumi apkopo darbā analizēto informāciju un pierāda, ka vārdu stila apzīmējumi dažādās vārdnīcās tiek atspoguļoti atšķirīgi.

The present Bachelor paper “Register Labels in English Monolingual Dictionaries” deals with an important part of modern dictionaries – register labels. The research methods employed in the paper are both theoretical and practical. The theoretical methods include the study and analysis of the theory. The practical methods include analysis of front matters and labelled corpora of two learners’ dictionaries and two dictionaries for native speakers. The present paper consists of 5 chapters. Chapters 1 to 4 deal with the theoretical research. Chapter 5 is the practical part of the paper: the analysis of the front matters and the labelled corpora of the dictionaries in terms of register labels. The conclusions summarize the study and prove that register labels are treated differently in dictionaries for native speakers and learners’ dictionaries.
