Abstract

Bakalaura darbs apskata virsrakstu struktūru biznesa un politiskajās ziņās. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt ziņu virsrakstu struktūru, īpaši pievēršot uzmanību gramatiskajai struktūrai - elipsei un stilistikai – virsrakstu emocionālajām īpašībām. Bakalaura darba pamatā ir Kristala, Kirka, Vilsona, Palmera, Postegila, Fortaneta, Knifa, Dženkinsa, Sendiga, Makartura, Lenona, Radforda, Sternkopfa, Reha, Makfarlana, Kūka, Gomera, Lihta, Makgilhrista, Sina, Davida, Vuda, Hadsona, Jamamoto, Vinklera un Makkoja teorijas. Darba praktiskajā daļā tika apkopoti un izanalizēti 300 virsraksti no plaši pazīstama britu laikraksta The Guardian. Galvenā darba pētniecības metode ir gadījuma pētniecība. Darba rezultāti pierāda, ka teorētiskajā daļā apskatītās teorijas ir piemērotas izmantošanai praksē, sastādot virsrakstus biznesa un politiskajām ziņām.

The Bachelor Thesis examines the structure of headlines in business and political news. The goal of the paper is to study the structure of business and political headlines in news, in particular grammatical and stylistic structures. Concerning the grammatical structure, it studies ellipsis; as for stylistic structure, the paper observes positivity and negativity of modern headlines. The theories of Crystal, D., Quirk et al., Wilson, P., Palmer, J.C., Kniffa, W., Jenkins, J., Sandig, A-M., McArthur, T., Lennon, P., Radford, R., McIntosch, A., Sternkopf, S-M., A., Cook, P.S., Gomery, D., Sine, W.D., David, R.J., Wood, P., Hudson, J. and Yamamoto, M. lie in the basis of the Bachelor Thesis. The corpus is represented by 300 headlines from a successful British publishing house The Guardian. The basic research method which helps in creation of the practical part is case study. The findings reveal that the examined in the theoretical part aspects of successful headlines are applied by in headlines in practice.
