Maģistra darbs „Sinocentrisma ideja un tās ietekme uz Ķīnas kontaktiem ar Eiropu Min dinastijas laikā” ir veltīts tradicionālā ķīniešu pasaules skatījuma pamatiezīmēm, kas noteica Vidusvalsts politisko, intelektuālo un sociālo attīstību, kā arī iespaidam kādu tās atstāja uz saskarsmi ar eiropiešiem 16.-17. gadsimtos.
Pētniecībā ar sinocentrismu tiek saprasts priekšstatu kopums, saskaņa ar kuru Ķīna aizņem centrālo vietu pasaulē, pārāko par visiem pārējiem. Dotā darba uzdevumi ir izpētīt šī jēdziena teorētisko pamatu un apskatīt tā praktiskās izpausmes. Tas ir nepieciešams, lai panāktu galveno mērķi un izprastu kāda ir bijusi sinocentrisma loma kultūras un zinātnes apmaiņā ar Eiropu. The present Master’s Thesis “The Notion of Sinocentrism and its Influence on the Contacts Between China and Europe During the Ming Dynasty” explores the key features of the traditional Chinese worldview that influenced political, intellectual and social development of the Middle Kingdom, as well as its effect upon China’s relations with Europeans in the 16th and 17th Centuries.
In the research field, sinocentrism refers to a complex of beliefs, maintaining that China occupies the central position in the world and establishing its supremacy compared to other people. The goal of the Thesis is to research the theoretical basis of sinocentrism, as well as to explore its practical applications in order to appreciate the role of sinocentrism in the cultural and scientific exchange with Europe.
