Modernisma izaicinājumi Virdžinijas Vulfas romāna "Deloveja kundze" sieviešu tēlos

Abstract

Šajā maģistra darbā tiek analizēti dažādi Lielbritānijas rakstnieces Virdžinijas Vulfas romāna „Deloveja kundze” sieviešu tēli. Šis romāns apvieno modernisma laikmeta virsotnes laikā radīta darba īpašības ar autores feministiskajiem uzskatiem. Tiek pētīti mitoloģijas, reliģijas, vēstures, likuma un sociālie materiāli, uz kuru pamata tika uzrakstīta grāmata, kā arī Vulfas kundzes laikabiedru Zigmunda Freida un Kārļa Gustava Junga psiholoģijas un filozofijas darbi. Tomēr vēlāku filosofu, tādu kā Simones de Bovuār un Mariannes Dekovenas darbi arī tika studēti. Darba mērķis ir izskaidrot, kādi literatūras līdzekļi ir atļavuši autorei veidot savas varones, saprast romāna “arhitektūru”, modernisma novatorisku naratīvu.

This master paper analyses various aspects of the female characters of Mrs. Virginia Woolf’s novel Mrs. Dalloway. This novel combines the traits of a work created on the peak of the era of Modernism with the feminist views of its author. The mythological, religious, historical, legal and social background, on the basis of which the book was written, has been studied in it, as well as the psychological and philosophic works by Mrs. Woolf’s contemporaries Sigmund Freud and Karl Gustav Jung. However, works by later philosophers such as Simone de Beavoir and Marianne Decoven have also been studied. The purpose of the work is to investigate the literary means which allowed the author to create this or that character, to understand the ‘architecture’ of the novel, the innovative Modernist narrative.
