Pētniecības darbs „Komandas darbs – Jaundzimušo intensīvās terapijas pacientu aprūpē” tika veikts ar mērķi noskaidrot komandas darba priekšnosacījumus un pielietojumu Jaundzimušo intensīvās terapijas pacientu aprūpē. Darbā tika izvirzīti divi pētnieciskie jautājumi – kā tiek realizēts komandas darbs Jaundzimušo Intensīvās terapijas nodaļā, un vai komandas darbs Jaundzimušo intensīvās terapijas nodaļā ir kvalitatīvas aprūpes priekšnosacījums?
Mērķa sasniegšanai izmantota kvalitatīvā pētniecības metode. Iegūtie rezultāti sniedz ieskatu aprūpes personāla darbībās un nodaļas organizācijā saistībā ar komandas darbu.
