Baznīcas līdzdarbība sociālajā darbā Latvijā

Abstract

Diplomdarba tēma ir „Baznīcas līdzdarbība sociālajā darbā Latvijā.” Diplomdarba mērķis - pētīt baznīcas līdzdarbību sociālajā darbā Latvijā. Diplomdarba struktūru veido teorētiskā un empīriskā daļa. Teorētiskajā daļā autores četrās nodaļās raksturoja baznīcas lomu sociālā darba pirmsākumos, pētīja kristīgo organizāciju līdzdarbību sociālajā darbā un draudžu līdzdarbību sociālā atbalsta sniegšanā Latvijā. Empīriskajā daļā autores raksturoja kristīgās baznīcas līdzdarbības praksi sociālajā darbā Latvijā. Lai rastos visaptverošs priekšstats, autores pētījumā izdalīja divas atsevišķas pētījuma daļas. Pirmajā daļā autores analizēja kristīgo draudžu sniegtos sociālā atbalsta veidus, to regularitāti, finansiālo ieguldījumu un sadarbību ar sociālajām institūcijām. Otrajā daļā autores analizēja organizāciju sniegtos sociālo pakalpojumu un atbalsta veidus kā arī mērķa grupas, kam tiek sniegti sociālie pakalpojumi. Apkopojot informāciju par baznīcas līdzdarbību sociālajā darbā Latvijā tika secināts, ka kristīgo organizāciju darbība vairāk ir saistīta ar informatīvi izglītojošiem pasākumiem un sniegto sociālo aprūpi, un rehabilitāciju institūcijās, savukārt draudzes vairāk sniedz sociālo palīdzību. Visvairāk draudzēs tiek sniegti tādi palīdzības veidi kā apģērba izsniegšana, pārtikas izsniegšana, finansiālā palīdzība.

Thesis title: “Church’s involvement in Social Work of Latvia”. The purpose of this study was to investigate church’s involvement in social work of Latvia. Thesis structure: theoretical and empirical sections. In the theory section, authors described the role of the church in the dawn of social work in four chapters; they studied participation of Christian organizations in social work and participation of congregations in providing social support in Latvia. In the empirical section, authors described social work participation practice of the Christian Church in Latvia. In order to create a comprehensive overview, authors split the research in two parts. In part one, authors analyzed social support forms provided by the Christian congregations: regularity, financial contribution, cooperation with social institutions. In the second part, authors analyzed types of social service and support provided by organizations, and target groups of the social services. After summarizing the information about church participation in social work in Latvia, it was concluded that Christian organizations operate more with informative and educational events, social care provision and institutional rehabilitation, while congregations tend to provide social aid. Most of all, congregations provide aid such as clothing, food and finances.
