Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Eiropas Savienības valstu pārstāvība Pasaules Tirdzniecības organizācijā”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, vai visas ES dalībvalstis, neskatoties uz atšķirībām, var tikt vienlīdzīgi pārstāvētas PTO.Bakalaura darba hipotēze – ES dalībvalstu pārstāvība PTO ir vienlīdzīga. Darba nobeigumā tiek secināts, ka ES dalībvalstis tiek pārstāvētas PTO vienlīdzīgi, jo to nodrošina izveidotais lēmumu pieņemšanas modelis, kā arī to pierāda dalībvalstu salīdzinājums pēc noteiktiem kritērijiem. Tomēr, neskatoties uz to, ka ES dalībvalstis tiek pārstāvētas vienlīdzīgi, ir svarīgi, lai dalībvalsts ir aktīvākas ES līmenī, sadarbojoties ar ES institūcijām, citām dalībvalstīm, kuras ir skaidri noteikušas savas nacionālās prioritātes, var vieglāk panākt sev labvēlīga lēmuma pieņemšanu gan pārnacionālā, gan starptautiskā līmenī.

The title of the bachelor thesis is „The European Union member states’ representation in the World Trade Organization”. The main aim of the thesis is to study if the representation of the EU member states in the WTO is equal for all the states despite the differences. The hypothesis of the work is the following one– the EU member states’ representation in the WTO is equal. It is concluded that the EU member states are equally represented in the WTO, but despite this it is important and crucial for the member states to have their red lines, to be active in the EU level and cooperate with EU institutions and other member states, because than it could help to put their interests on the EU or WTO agenda.
