Komerciālo ETL rīku alternatīvas

Abstract

Uzņēmums vai persona var nokļūt situācijā, kad ir jāizvēlas, kādu ETL rīku izmantot, lai veiktu datu bāzu pārnešanu no vienas datu bāzu pārvaldības sistēmas uz otru vai ielādētu datu noliktavu datu analīzes veikšanai. Bakalaura darbā veiktais pētījums centīsies atbildēt uz jautājumu, vai ir ETL uzdevumi, kuru risināšanai nav nepieciešams iegādāties komerciālus ETL rīkus, un kurus var paveikt, izmantojot atvērtā koda ETL rīkus. Bakalaura darbā tiks apskatīti trīs atvērtā koda ETL rīki ,un viens no šiem rīkiem tiks izmantots, lai izpildītu transformācijas uzdevumu, kas tika veikts, izmantojot komerciālu rīku Oracle Warehouse Builder.

The company or a person can get into situation where choice has to be made for which ETL tool to use for database transfer from one database management system to another or for data warehouse population for further data analysis. Research which has been carried out in bachelor work will seek to answer question whether there are ETL tasks, for which solving there is no need to purchase commercial ETL tools, but instead, they can be done using the open source ETL tools. Three open source ETL tools will be examined in this bachelor work, and one of those ETL tools will be used to perform data transformation task, which has been already performed using commercial ETL tool Oracle Warehouse Builder.
