Abstract

Bakalaura darbs "Automatizētās testēšanas iespējas un ierobežojumi Ruby programmēšans valodā" apskata veidus, kā risināt testēšanas automatizācijas problēmas, izmantojot Ruby programmēšanas valodu. Darbā ir apskatīta Ruby programmēšanas valoda un veidi, kā to ir iespējams izmantot automatizētajai testēšanai, gan Ruby, gan tās tīmekļa lietotņu izstrādes ietvara Ruby on Rails, gan citu programmēšanas valodu projektos, šo veidu priekšrocības un trūkumi. Lielāka uzmanība pievērsta gatavo, Ruby programmēšanas valodā veidoto, automatizētās testēšanas risinājumu ātrdarbības un testpiemēru izstrādes veida salīdzinājumam vienību testēšanas, integrācijas testēšanas un akcepttestēšanas jomās un apskatītas iespējas kā palielināt to izpildes ātrumu un to ieviešanas metodoloģija.

Thesis "The possibilities and limitations of automated testing in Ruby programming language" examines the ways, in which Ruby programming language can be used to solve problems with testing automation. The thesis inspects Ruby programming language and the ways, in which it can be used to test projects that are developed in Ruby, it's web application development framework Ruby on Rails and other programming languages, and the possibilities and limitations they provide. The main attention is given to the comparison of already available automated testing libraries, which are developed in Ruby and meant for unit testing, integration testing and acceptable testing, the ways to increase the execution speed of the test cases and the methodology according to which the test cases are developed.
