Abstract
Bakalaura darbā ir pētīta varoņu personības identitāte P.Ostera romānā „Ilūzijas grāmata”. Darbs sniedz īso teorētisko posmodernisma filozofijas analīzi, tā ietekmi literatūrā, kā arī tās varoņu identitāti. Praktiskā darba daļā iekļūst varoņu personības identitātes analīze postmodernisma ietekmes procesā.
Kā bija secināts analīzas laikā, varoņu identitāte P.Ostera romānā „Ilūzijas grāmata” ir ļoti mainama.

This paper discusses personal identity of the characters in Paul Auster’s novel The book of Illusions. This research work provides relevant analysis of the comprehension of postmodernism, its influence on literature as well as the narration and characters’ identity. The practical part of the research consists of the analysis of characters’ identity in the frames of postmodernism and the events in the novel. It was discovered during the research that the personal identity of the characters in The Book of Illusions is fluid. Key words: identity, personality, postmodernism, literature, illusion.
