Tēlainība Nikolasa Evansa romānā „Zirgu vārdotājs”

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izvērtēt tēlainību Nikolasa Evansa romānā „Zirgu Vārdotājs”, lai vērotu kā noteikti tēlainības veidi, ieskaitot arī motīvus, atbalsta un attīsta tēmu. Pētījumā izmantotā kvalitatīvā metodoloģija sastāv no iepriekš veikto pētījumu kvalitatīvās analīzes un tēlainības analīzes romānā „Zirgu Vārdotājs”. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti norāda, ka romānā izmantotie tēlainības veidi ne tikai stilistiski to bagātina, bet arī pastiprina skumju un zaudējuma tēmas, kas īpaši iezīmē dabas tēlainību.

The aim of this bachelor paper is to analyse imagery used in Nicholas Evans’ novel “The Horse Whisperer” to see how certain patterns of imagery, motifs inclusive, support and develop the theme. The methods of this study include desk research that consists of analysing the available literature on imagery, as well as qualitative analysis of the imagery in “The Horse Whisperer”. As the result, the findings of the research show that the types of imagery used in the novel do not only enrich it stylistically but also reinforce the themes of grieving and loss which are particularly marked by use of natural imagery.
