Profesionālā ētika tulka darbā

Abstract

Maģistra darbā tiek pētīta profesionālā ētika tulka darbā. Tā mērķis ir identificēt, kādas ētiskās īpašības raksturo profesionālus tulkus. Tiek apzināta ētikas nozīme un vairākas ētikas dilemmas tulka darbā, kā arī aplūkota tulkošanas un ētikas vēsture. Tiek veikts pētījums attiecībā uz desmit jau esošiem “profesionālās ētikas kodeksiem” dažādās tulkošanas jomās (konferenču, medicīnas, tiesu tulkošana), lai noteiktu, kādi ir tajos visbiežāk minētie ētikas jēdzieni. Atklātie vienpadsmit svarīgākie ētikas jēdzieni tiek apkopoti Tabulā 3.1, kurā tiek atainots gan tas, cik bieži, gan kādā secībā tie ir minēti. Maģistra darba secinājumos ir apkopoti pētījuma rezultāti un izklāstīts ētikas jēdzienu kopsavilkums, ko tulkiem savā darbā vajadzētu apzināties.

The MA thesis examines the subject of professional ethics in interpreting. Its purpose is to identify the main ethical qualities that set apart true professionals in the field of interpreting. The importance of ethics and a few ethical dilemmas for interpreters are contemplated, as well as the history of both interpreting and ethics is explored. Ten of the already existing “codes of professional ethics” in different fields of interpreting (conference, medical, legal) are selected and examined to determine the most frequent ethical concepts underlined in them. Table 3.1 is designed to illustrate both the consistency and the sequence of importance of the eleven discovered most important ethical concepts. The conclusion of the MA thesis presents the findings of the research and summarizes the ethical concepts interpreters should be aware of.
