Vidusskolēnu starpkultūru kompetences attīstīšana izmantojot drāmas elementus

Abstract

Šis diplomdarbs pēta vislabākos skolēnu starp kultūru pieredzes attīstības veidus, izmantojot dažādus dramaturģijas nodarbību modeļus. Teorētiskā daļa sastāv no divām nodaļām. Pirmā nodaļa piedāvā dažādus skatījumus „kultūras” jēdzienam, atspoguļo kultūras nozīmi svešvalodas apmācības procesā. Tajā ir iekļauti Latvijas un Anglijas mācību programmu piemēri pievēršot īpašu vērību kultūras mācībai. Otrajā nodaļā tiek akcentēts dramaturģijas jēdziens, piedāvājot ieskatu tās psiholoģiskajos un lingvistiskajos aspektos un izskaidro tādu divu dramaturģijas modeļu kā lomu spēles un modelēšanas atšķirības un līdzības. Zinātniskā darba mērķis ir atrast efektīvus veidus ar kultūras paražām un tradīcijām saistītu dramaturģijas pasākumu iekļaušanai svešvalodas apmācības klasē. Izdarītie secinājumi ir balstīti uz eksperimentālo pētījumu, kura laikā datu ieguvei tika izmantotas klašu novērošana un anketu analīze. Iegūtie dati liecina par studentu vēlmi paplašināt savu starp kultūru sapratnes redzesloku un piedalīties dramaturģijas nodarbībās. Šīs izpētes rezultātus un secinājumus ir iespējams izmantot angļu valodas apguves klasēs, padarot mācīšanās/mācību procesu efektīvāku.

The present paper investigates the best means of developing learners’ intercultural competence using different types of drama activities. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. The first chapter provides different views on the concept of ‘culture’, shows the importance of culture in foreign language teaching process. It contains examples from Latvia’s and England’s national curriculum with emphasis on cultural studies. The second chapter focuses on the concept of drama, gives an insight into its psychological and linguistic aspects and explains the differencies and similarities between two types of drama actvities such as a role play and a simulation. The research paper aims at finding the effective ways of introducing drama activities based on cultural notions in a foreign language classroom. The conclusions drawn are based on the Pilot Study, during which classroom observations and analyses of questionnaires were used as a means of data gathering. The data obtained indicate the students’ willingness to broaden the scope of intercultural awareness and partake in drama activities. The results and conclusions of this research can be used in the English language classroom in order to make the teaching/learning process more effective.
