Research work is devoted to the theme of education in an autobiographical trilogy of Leo Tolstoy. The author's goal is to identify and study the effect of environment on the main character formation during childhood, adolescence and youth. The subject of the research work is specificity of pedagogical views of Leo Tolstoy. The relevance of the work is to examine the features of education XVIII-XIX centuries which are displayed in the trilogy.
