Sajūtas Lauras Eskivelas romānā „Saldi rūgtā šokolāde”

Abstract

Šī maģistra darba tēma ir „Sajūtas Lauras Eskivelas romānā Saldi rūgtā šokolāde”, kas ir nozīmīgs darbs 20.gs. beigu literatūras panorāmā. Darba mērķis ir romānā atainoto sajūtu analīze, lai atklātu to nozīmi galvenās varones dzīvē. Veicot literāru analīzi ar semiotikas elementiem, tiek veikta brīva romāna un tā daļu interpretācija. Darba empīriskā daļa sastāv no citātu kataloga, kas kalpo par pamatu turpmākajai analīzei un interpretācijai, kam par pamatu ņemti hermeneitiskā apļa principi – kopuma sapratne ir atkarīga no daļām un otrādi. Nozīmīgākais secinājums ir, ka, galvenokārt, romānā dominē vienkāršas sajūtu kategorijas, kā balts-melns, auksts-karts, klusums-troksnis, ēdiens un virtuve, kas atspoguļo galvenās varones pasaules uztveri, kura neietver sarežģītus konceptus. The present master paper is entitled “Sensorial perceptions in the novel Like a water for chocolate by Laura Esquivel” which is a considerably important work in the field of literature in the late 20th century. The objective of the present investigation is to analyze the sensorial perceptions in the novel and discover how they define the world of the protagonist. By means of literary analysis with some elements of semiotics, the free interpretation of the novel and its elements has been done. The empirical part consists of a wide catalogue of the citations from novel, in which the further analysis and interpretation is based, using some elements of hermeneutic circle: the comprehension of the whole depends of the parts and vice versa. The main conclusion is that the major part of sensorial perceptions that can be find in the novel correspond to a quite basic categories, like white-black, cold-hot, silence-noise, food and kitchen. That reflects the protagonist’s perception of the world through no sophisticated concepts. The protagonist’s world is based in the kitchen with all the sensorial perceptions that derivate from it and is related with it. Key words: sensorial perceptions, synesthesia, memories, communication
