Bakalaura darba „Latvijas nacionālo komerctelevīziju konkurence par skatītāju: kanālu saturiskā plānojuma salīdzinošā analīze” mērķis ir izpētīt un salīdzināt, kā abas nacionālās komerctelevīzijas LNT un TV3, veido savas piedāvātās programmas vienas nedēļas šķērsgriezumā.
Programmas analīzei izmantota kontentanalīzes metode, skatot gan noteiktu raidījumu, gan žanru biežumu un atkārtošanos, gan citur programmu veidošanas paľēmienus konkurencē par auditoriju. Izmantota arī daļēji strukturētā intervijas ar programmu veidotājiem. Teorētiskajā daļā tiks apskatīta televīzijas vēsture, televīzijas veidi, Latvijas specifika, televīzijas pārraižu programmu veidošanas metodes, reitingu veidošana un to nozīme.
Pētījumā secināts, ka abas Latvijas nacionālās komerctelevīzijas skatītāju auditoriju piesaista ar identiskiem programmu plānošanas paľēmieniem.

The aim of the bachelor thesis "The competition for the viewer between Latvian national commercial television channels: comparative analysis of the channel content planning" was to investigate and compare the program planning of two Latvian national commercial television channels LNT and TV3, analyzing it in one-week cross-section.
The content analysis was used to indentify both - genre, as well as repetition and frequency of particular types of broadcast, and other programming techniques that are used to compete for the audience, were examined as well. The semi-structured interview with the program director and researcher were used as well.
The most significant finding of the research shows that both Latvian national commercial television channels use identical programming techniques in order to attract the audience.
