Ļaunuma koncepts TV seriāla "Twin Peaks" sērijās

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Ļaunuma koncepts TV seriāla "Twin Peaks" sērijās” tiek pētīts ļaunuma koncepts 20. gadsimta 90. gadu kulta seriālā „Twin Peaks”. Pētījuma problēma ir: ar kādiem paņēmieniem ļaunums tiek attēlots konkrētajā seriālā. Darba mērķis ir atklāt, kā seriālā „Twin Peaks” tiek attēlots ļaunums. Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām: teorētiskās – apskatīta teorētiskā pieeja semiotikai, kino vaoldao un televīzijai kā īpatnējam medijam, kā arī ļaunuma skaidrojums; metodoloģiskās – apskatītas izmantotās pētniecības metodes – semiotiskā analīze un anketēšana; un pētnieciskās – analizētas visas seriāla „Twin Peaks” sērijas un aptaujā iegūtie rezultāti. Pētījuma rezultāti rāda, ka televīzijas seriālā izmantotās zīmes skatītāji interpretē saskaņā ar savu individuālo izpratni un pieredzi.

Bachelor's paper "The Concept of Evil in Twin Peaks Television Series" explores the concept of evil as depicted in the Twin Peaks cult TV series of the 1990s. The study focuses on the following research question: what are the ways of depicting evil in the TV series? The aim of the paper is to explore evil as depicted in the Twin Peaks series. The paper consists of three parts. The Theory part discusses semiotics from theoretical perspective, examines the language of cinema and TV as specific type of media, as well as explains the concept of evil. The Methodology part presents qualitative research methods used in the study: semiotic analysis and open-ended questionnaire. The Research part presents an analysis of all Twin Peaks series and discusses the findings of the questionnaire. The results of the study lead to the conclusion that TV viewers interpret signs used in the series, depending on their individual perceptions and experiences.
