The aim of bachelor work was to explore the preconditions of stable peace of the Nagorno – Karabakh conflict during the period of 1905 – 2012. The theoretical part of the work was based on the stable peace theory. It says that the first phase will be realized, if the strongest state provides the concession signals to the weaker state and if the strongest state meets foreign threats, the lack of military resources, social pressure, institutional restraint and compatible interests. The hypothesis is: „the preconditions of stable peace do not exist in the conflict of Armenia and Azerbaijan”. During the history of the conflict there were no given preconditions, that explains, why Armenia and Azerbaijan cannot make a concession. It explains, why the establishment of stable peace between Armenia - Azerbaijan is not realized.
