Normatīvās varas izpausmes Eiropas Savienības kopējā ārpolitikā attiecībā uz post-Padomju telpas valstīm (2007-2011)

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir „Normatīvās varas izpausmes Eiropas Savienības kopējā ārpolitikā attiecībā uz post-Padomju telpas valstīm (2007-2011)”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kā ES ekonomiskās intereses ietekmē ES normatīvās ārpolitikas īstenošanu attiecībā uz vienpadsmit post-Padomju telpas valstīm – Moldovu, Ukrainu, Baltkrieviju, Armēniju, Gruziju, Azerbaidžānu, Turkmenistānu, Uzbekistānu, Tadžikistānu, Kirgizstānu un Kazahstānu – laika periodā no 2007. līdz 2011. gadam. Par darba hipotēzi tiek izvirzīts apgalvojums: Eiropas Savienības ekonomiskās intereses ierobežo ES iespējas īstenot normatīvu ārpolitiku attiecībā uz post-Padomju telpas valstīm laika periodā no 2007. līdz 2011.gadam. Darbs ir sadalīts četrās nodaļās, no kurām viena ir teorētiska rakstura, bet pārējās trīs ietver empīrisku pētījumu. Darba ievadā izvirzītā hipotēze gūst apstiprinājumu.

The theme of this research paper is „Manifestations of normative power in European Union’s common foreign policy towards post-Soviet countries (2007-2011)”. The aim of the paper is to examine the EU’s economic interests’ influence on its normative foreign policy implementation towards eleven post-soviet states – Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan – during the time period from 2007 until 2011. Within the framework of the research paper a following hypothesis is promoted: The European Union’s economic interests impose constraints to its capability implementing a normative foreign policy towards the post-Soviet countries from 2007 until 2011. The research paper is divided into four chapters, where one gives a theoretical insight, but the rest an empirical analysis. The promoted hypothesis in the introduction proves verified.
