As research questions were raised – how are periods of time represented in the movie, what is their meaning in the movie and how they impact film narrative. The work consists of theoretical literature on the theory of narrative in movies, formation of time in movies, time in narrative, syntax of film language and theory about sculpting in time. Movie is analized using two methods of qualitative research – narrative analysis and semi-structured interviews. The results of research show that time in a movie is one of the most significant elements of a movie and also representation of time is variable and depends on represented time periods, therefore time influences film narrative.
