Abstract
Bakalaura darbā "Zemūdens viļņlauzēju izmantošanas iespējas Pāvilostā" ir apkopota un izanalizēta informācija par Latvijas jūras krastu tipiem un tajos noritošajiem procesiem. Darbā aprakstītas krasta aizsargrisinājumu, konkrētāk, zemūdens viļņlauzēju izmantošanas iespējas, kā arī Latvijā funkcionējošie aizsargrisinājumi.
Darba pētnieciskajā daļā tika izstrādāts kartogrāfiskais materiāls krasta līnijas izmaiņu noteikšanai laikā no 1942. - 2007. gadam 2 km garā posmā Pāvilostā. Nivelēšanas šķērsprofilu analīzē tika apskatīti laika gaitā noritošie krasta procesi konkrētajā jūras krasta posmā Pāvilostā.
Pētnieciskā daļā tika noskaidrots sabiedrības viedoklis saistībā ar krasta eroziju Latvijā un aizsargbūvju izveidošanas iespējām Pāvilostā.
Darbs sastāv no trijām nodaļām un tā kopējais apjoms ir 50 lappuses, ievietoti 17 attēli un viens pielikums, kā arī izmantoti 27 literatūras avoti.

During the course of bachelor's work titled "Potential of submerged breakwaters in Pavilosta", the information related to Latvian seashore types and their processes were studied and analyzed. Work explores the various forms of coastal anti-erosion protection, more specifically involving submerged breakwaters and also the already existing seashore protection structures in Latvia. Cartographic material on detection of marine shoreline changes along a 2 km section of the coastline in Pavilosta for the period from 1942 to 2007 was developed. The research on coastal processes was based on information resulting from rigging. A part of this research was to find out public opinion on the topicality of coastal erosion in Latvia and the potential of creation of submerged breakwaters in Pavilosta. Work consists of three chapters, 50 pages, 17 pictures, 27 bibliographical references and 1 appendixes in total. Key words: coastal proceses, coastal anti-erosion protection, beach recreation
