Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Autorība, žanrs un viktoriāņu sievietes Džeinas Ostenas biogrāfijā un romānos”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir sievietes kā autora lomas un stāvokļa izpēte viktoriāņu laikmeta literatūrā, kad sievietēm nebija nozimīgas vietas literatūras tirgū. Turklāt, viens no svarīgākajiem aspektiem analizējot romāna žanru ir autora dzimums. Jāatzimē, ka dziļu teorētisku pamatu katrai darba tēzes attīstībai, kā arī ierosinātu hipotēžu apstiprināšanai, tika izmantotas literāra teksta analīzes un empirisku petījumu metodes. Pēc romāna un citas attiecīgas literatūras izpētes, ir jāsecina, ka ši petījuma rezultāts ir apmierinošs un visi nepieciešamie Bakalaura darba mērķi ir sasniegti.

The topic of the Bachelor’s thesis is ‘Authorship, Genre and Victorian womanhood in Jane Austen’s’ Biography and Novels’. The purpose of the present thesis is to explore the role and position of woman author in literature of the Victorian epoch when women had marginal place in the literary marketplace. Moreover, the issue of gender of the author plays the vital role in the analysis of the genre of the novel. It should be mentioned that methods of literary textual analysis and empirical research were used in order to provide the profound theoretical background for the development of each theme of the thesis and to validate the proposed hypothesis. After a profound study of the novel and other corresponding literature it should be concluded that the result of this research was satisfying, and all required purposes of the Bachelor thesis were fulfilled.
