Identitātes problēma Sāras Votersas romānos
Zusammenfassung
Maģistra darbā tiek izskatīti ar identitātes jēdzienu saistīti jautājumi, pievēršot uzmanību to saistībai ar socioloģiju, psiholoģiju, biheiviorismu un citām humanitāro zinātņu nozarēm. Tika veikts detalizētāks identitātes jautājumu pētījums, pievēršot lielāku uzmanību sociālas un dzimuma identitātes problēmu analīzei. Ņemot vērā, ka Sāras Votersas romāni ataino Viktorijas laikmeta Angliju un sieviešu identitātes jautājumus, tika analizēti teorētiskie materiāli par Viktorijas laikmetu Anglijā, pievēršot uzmanību sociālajiem un dzimumu jautājumiem.
Maģistra darba praktiskajā daļā tika veikta Sāras Votersas romānu – „Zagle” un „Noglāstīt samtu” analīze, koncentrējoties un karalienes Viktorijas laikmetu Anglijā, pievēršot uzmanību galveno varoņu identitātes problēmu jautājumu izskatīšanai.

The Master Thesis focuses on identity questions in relation to phenomena of “self” by paying attention to its relation to sociology, psychology, behaviourism and other humanitarian studies. Deeper insight on the matters of identity in relation to social and gender issues is made. The theory concerning the time of Victorian England is analysed and described by paying attention to social and gender matters as the analysis of literary works by S. Waters mainly concentrate on feminine identity issues in the Victorian era.
The analysis of Sarah Waters`s novels – “Fingersmith” and “Tipping the Velvet” in relation to the time of Victorian era by putting the emphasis on the problem of identity of main heroines is made in the empirical part of the paper.
