Prezentācijas angļu valodā akadēmiskā vidē

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir prezentācijas angļu valodā akadēmiskā vidē. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir pierādīt, ka akadēmiskās prezentācijas angļu valodas kursā ir ļoti svarīgas un noderīgas studentiem, jo tās palīdz apgūt angļu valodu un paplašināt tas pielietojumu. Darba teorētiskajā daļā ir aprakstīta saikne starp akadēmiskajām prezentācijām un valodas pielietošanu. Darbā tiek pētīta akadēmisko prezentāciju plānošana un sagatavošana, struktūra, vizuālo materiālu nozīme, kā arī akadēmisko prezentāciju pasniegšana auditorijai. Darba praktiskā daļa ir uz anketām un to analīzes balstīts pētījums. Šī daļa satur arī uz vērojumu balstītu pētījumu. Pētījums pierāda, ka akadēmisko prezentāciju pareiza organizēšana un pasniegšana ir lieliska iespēja studentiem iemācīties lietot angļu valodu dažādās dzīves sfērās.

The theme of the bachelor paper is presentations in English in academic environment. The goal of the bachelor paper is to show that academic presentations during the EFL course are very important and useful for students in order to develop their abilities to use the English language. The theoretical part describes the connection between academic presentations and the use of the English language. It explores the preparation and planning of academic presentations, the structure, the importance of visual aids and the instructions on giving them. In the practical part the author analyses questionnaires. It also contains the analysis of observations. The research confirmed that academic presentations, if properly organized and delivered, are a great chance for students to learn to use the English language in different life spheres.
