Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt romantisko skatījumu uz bērnību slavenā amerikāņu rakstnieka N. Hotorna romānā Sārtais Burts, izmantojot kā piemēru Pērles tēlu, vienu galvenajiem tēliem, un rast romānā pausto bērnības koncepci. Analīze ir veikta, pamatojoties uz romantisma teorētiskajiem aspektiem un principiem, romantisma un agrīnām bērnības koncepcēm un izvēlētā romāna teksta analīzes. Šīs analīzes rezultātus var izmantot, lai spriestu par atšķirībām starp puritānisko skatījumu uz bērnību un skatījumu, kuru pauda autors. The goal of this bachelor paper is to analyze the romantic vision of childhood in the novel The Scarlet Letter by N. Hawthorne, using character of Pearl as an example, and to discuss the concept of childhood, presented in the given novel. The analysis is based on a research of the theoretical aspects and principles of Romanticism, the romantic and other earlier concepts of childhood, and the textual analysis of the selected novel. The results of this analysis will allow to learn about the differences between the Puritan and Romantic concepts of childhood.
