Autora piezīmju mērķis un raksturs V.M. Tekerija romānā "Liekulības tirgus"

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir autora piezīmju mērķis un raksturs V.M.Tekerija romānā „Liekulības tirgus”. Darba mērķis ir analizēt dažādās piezīmes, kuras atklāj autora uzskatus par 19.gadsimta britu vidusšķiras pārstāvjiem, viņu uzvedību un morālajām vērtībām. Šīs analīzes pamatā ir teksta veidošanas teorija, kā arī romāna saistība ar 19.gadsimta vēsturiskajiem apstākļiem. Pētījuma mērķis ir atklāt, kāpēc autors ir izmantojis darbā piezīmes un kāds ir šo komentāru un uzrunu raksturs. Darba rezultāti pierāda, ka rakstnieka nodoms ir izglītot 19. gadsimtā strauji augošo vidusšķiru, parādot sabiedrības morāli un dodot savu vērtējumu cilvēkiem un viņu rīcībai.

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is the purpose and character of the author’s intrusions in W.M.Thackeray’s novel “Vanity Fair”. The goal of the research is to analyze different intrusions that reveal the author’s point of view about the British 19th century middle-class society, its behaviour and moral values. The analysis is carried out on the basis of the theory of narratology and taking into account the historical background of the 19th century. The purpose of the research is to reveal the aim of the author using authorial intrusions, and the character of the commentaries and addresses to the readers. The results of the investigation prove that the author’s goal was to educate the growing middle-class of the 19th century exposing morals of the society and giving his own evaluations about people and their behaviour.
