Mesenchymal stem cells today is the subject of the research, which is shifting the majority of scientists. It is an alternative to embryonic stem cells. The extracellular matrix, including biomaterials, closely affects cell fate, survival and proliferation. Both interactions are key to the successful use of regenerative medicine purposes. Biomaterials are materials that is used to replace or restore functions of lost bone and tissue. Hydroxylapatite is a natural bone mineral, which is the most widely used implant material in clinic.
The study aimed to lactat dehydrogenases test to make out the natural bone material - hydroxyapatite - the effect of skin-derived MCs in vitro, and to evaluate the use in medicine. The results show the association that increasing HA concentration increases cytotoxicity to cells.
Keywords: regenerative medicine, biomaterials, hydroxyapatite, mesenchymal stem cells.
