Maģistra darba „Nacionālā identitāte un nauda: Latvijas sabiedrības attieksme pret eiro” mērķis ir noskaidrot Latvijas sabiedrības un ekspertu attieksmi pret eiro kā daļu no identitātes.
Pētījuma problēma ir attieksme pret eiro un ietekme uz identitāti.
Darba teorētiskajā daļā izklāstīta identitātes teorija, teorētiķu atziņas par sociālo identitāti, skaidrots identitātes koncepts Eiropas Savienības un valūtas kontekstā, aplūkota mediju, viedokļu līderu loma publiskā viedokļa veidošanas procesā, un sabiedrības attieksme pret eiro Eiropā. Metodoloģiskajā daļā sniegts izklāsts par kvantitatīvo kontentanalīzi, daļēji strukturētu interviju, aptauju un semantisko diferenciāli. Empīriskajā daļā ietverts iegūto datu izklāsts, analīze un secinājumi.
Secināts, ka sabiedrībā eiro galvenokārt tiek vērtēts pozitīvi. Attieksmi pret eiro ietekmējuši tādi faktori kā viedokļu līderu komunicētā attieksme medijos, informētības, izglītības līmenis un vecums.

The purpose of the master paper „National identity and money: society's attitude towards the euro in Latvia” is to find out society’s and expert attitude towards the euro as a part of identity in Latvia.
The problem of the research is attitudes towards the euro and the impact on identity.
In the theoretical exposition of master paper is explained identity theory, researchers findings about social identity, explained the concept of identity in the context of the European Union and currency, is given view to media, opinion leaders' role in the process of public opinion formation, and public attitudes towards the euro in Europe. The methodological section provides an outline of the quantitative content analysis, semi-structured interviews, surveys and the semantic differential. The empirical part includes a presentation of the data, analysis and conclusions.
In the result of research has been concluded that in the society the euro mainly has been rated in a positive way. Attitude towards the euro are influenced by factors such as opinion leaders attitude communicated in the media, awareness, education level and age.
