Televīzijas žurnālistu identitātes: LTV1 un TVP salīdzinošā analīze

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir „Televīzijas žurnālistu identitātes: LTV1 un TVP salīdzinošā analīze“. Darba mērķis ir izveidot un salīdzināt Latvijas un Polijas žurnālistu profesionālo un kolektīvo identitāšu raksturojumu simboliskā interakcionisma un identitātes teorijas kontekstā. Kā darba teorētiskā bāze izmantota Georga Herberta Mīda izstrādātā un Herberta Blūmera un Lotāra Krapmana izstrādātā simboliskā interakcionisma teorija, kā arī identitātes teorija, kas ietver žurnālista identitātes raksturojumu, balstoties uz kolektīvo un profesionālo identitāti. Pētījuma veikšanai izmantota dziļā intervija, pēc tam veicot kvalitatīvo kontentanalīzi. Tās rezultāti analizēti, izmantojot salīdzinošo un naratīva analīzi. Pētījuma rezultāti atspoguļoti, balstoties uz izstrādātajām kontentanalīzes kategorijām, veicot datu interpetāciju un sasaistot tos ar simboliskā interakcionisma teorētisko pieeju un identitātes teoriju. Maģistra darbā tiek izstrādāts salīdzinošs LTV1 un TVP žurnālistu profesionālo un kolektīvo identitāšu raksturojums, kas ietverts secinājumos, un tā ietvaros tiek atklātas kopīgas un atšķirīgas īpatnības, kas novērojamas Latvijas un Polijas žurnālistu naratīvos attiecībā uz viņu identitātēm. Darbs sastāv no ievada, četrām nodaļām un sešpadsmit apakašnodaļām, secinājumiem un nobeiguma. Pielikumā ir 123 lappuses.

Topic of Master thesis is "Identities of Television Journalists: Comparative Analysis of LTV1 and TVP". Goal of the work is to create and to compare the description of professional and collective identities of Latvian and Polish journalists, based on symbolic interactionism and identity theory context. As the theoretic basis of the work, theory of symbolic interactionism, founded by George Herbert Mead and developed by Herbert Blumer and Lothar Krappman, is used, as well as identity theory, which involves description of identity of journalists, based on collective and professional identity. To conduct the research, in-depth interviewing is used, afterwards qualitative content analysis is done. The results are analysed by using comparative and narrative analysis. The reseults of research are presented based on the content analysis categories by interpreting the data and linking them with theoretical approach of symbolic interactionism and identity theory. In the master thesis, a comparative description of professional and collective identities of LTV1 and TVP journalists is made, which is included in the conclusion. It contains the similar and different features found in narratives Latvian and Polish journalists when speaking about their identities. Thesis includes introduction, four chapters and sixteen subchapters, and conclusion. There are 123 pages in appendix.
