Neverbālās komunikācijas aspekti mutiskajā tulkošanā

Abstract

Maģistra darbs „Neverbālās komunikācijas aspekti mutiskajā tulkošanā” ir izstrādāts profesionālās maģistra studiju programmas „Konferenču tulkošana” ietvaros. Darbā tiek pētīts aktuāls temats, t.i., iespējas, kā izmantot neverbālos saskarsmes veidus mutiskajā tulkošanā. Maģistra darba mērķis ir identificēt un analizēt dažādus neverbālās komunikācijas aspektus, norādīt to nozīmi mutiskajam tulkam un apsvērt iespējas, kā tos pasniegt mērķauditorijas valodā. Darbā izmantotās pētniecības metodes ietver teorētisko materiālu analīzi un salīdzināšanu, teorijai atbilstošu piemēru sniegšanu, kā arī mutiskā tulka lomas izvērtēšanu, balstoties uz iegūtajām zināšanām. Balstoties uz darbā veikto analīzi, var secināt, ka, tulkam konstruējot ziņu, neverbālajai komunikācijai ir ļoti liela nozīme, bet tās tulkošana bieži ir kompromiss prosodijas, sintaktiskajā un leksiskajā līmenī.

The master thesis “Aspects of nonverbal communication in interpreting” has been prepared within the framework of the professional master studies programme “Conference interpreting”. It researches a topical issue, i.e. ways of dealing with nonverbal utterances in various interpreting situations. The aim of the thesis is to identify and analyse different aspects of nonverbal communication, point out their importance for the interpreter and consider possibilities of rendering them in the target language. The methods used to develop the thesis include analysis and comparison of theoretical background, exemplification relevant to the theory and reflection on the interpreter‟s role based on the knowledge acquired. It can be concluded that nonverbal communication is of the greatest importance for the interpreter to construe the message, while rendering often must be a compromise on the prosodic, syntactic or lexical level.
