Mājokļa neaizskaramības princips ir nostiprināts cilvēktiesībās, lai garantētu personai netraucētu šo tiesību izmantošanu. Praksē pastāv viedoklis, ka atsevišķos gadījumos starp tiesībām uz mājokļa neaizskaramību un tiesībām uz īpašumu pastāv kolīzija.
Tādēļ, autore aplūkos mājokļa neaizskaramības principu cilvēktiesību kontekstā. Izvērtēs gadījumus kad vienas personas tiesības uz mājokļa neaizskaramību var konfliktēt ar citas personas īpašuma tiesībām, turklāt izpētīs valsts atbildību un pienākumus attiecībā uz mājokļa neaizskaramības principa ievērošanu, lai izdarītu secinājumus par pastāvošo problemātiku Latvijas tiesiskajā regulējumā un praksē un šī regulējuma un prakses atbilstību starptautiskajām tiesībām.
