Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Ceļojuma motīvs Džima Džarmuša filmā „Dead Man”” Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot kādi simboli tiek izmantoti filmā, kā arī analizēt filmas naratīvu interpretējot tās notikumus un tēlus.
Teorētiskajā daļā tiek aprakstīta kino semiotika, naratīvs, Holivudas naratīvs un reprezentācija. Pētījums satur filmā izmantoto simbolu interpretāciju, tēlu funkciju izdalīšanu
un filmas naratīva analīzi.
Pētījuma secinājumi apkopo būtiskākos secinājumus par filmas zemtekstu, simbolu izmantojumu stāsta veidošanā, tēlu funkcijas filmā, kā arī filmas naratīva raksturiezīmes. Bachelor thesis: „Motive of the journey in Jim Jarmush film "Dead Man"” The study aims to find out what symbols are used in the film and how they could be interpreted, also analyze the narrative of the film.
The theoretical part describes the films semiotics, narrative, Hollywood narrative and representation. Research contains the interpretation of the symbols used in the film,
categorization of characters that are shown in the film and also narrative analysis.
Conclusions of the study summarizes the narrative characteristics of the film, the use of symbols and the implicit meaning of the story.
