Laika uztveres saistība ar apmierinātību ar dzīvi un sociālām aktivitātēm vecumdienās

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis bija noskaidrot laika uztveri vecumdienās un tās saistību ar apmierinātību ar dzīvi, attiecībām un sociālām aktivitātēm. Pētījumā piedalījās 123 respondenti vecumā no 65 līdz 92 gadiem (16 vīrieši), aizpildot aptaujas par Līdzsvarotu laika perspektīvu, Kosmisko transcendenci, Dzīves jēgas izpratni, Sociālo atbalstu, Apmierinātību ar dzīvi un Attiecībām. Pētījums apstiprināja pieņēmumu, ka vecumdienās pagātnes laika perspektīvas nozīmīgums pieaug, bet nākotnes loma sarūk. Līdzsvarota laika perspektīva pozitīvi saistīta ar transcendenci un dzīves saskaņotības izjūtu. Apmierinātība ar dzīvi saistīta ar biežāku piedalīšanos sabiedriskās aktivitātēs, apmierinātību ar attiecībām un sociālo atbalstu, bet ne sociālo tīklu plašumu.

The purpose of the current research was to examine time perception and its relation to satisfaction with life, interpersonal relations and social activities in old age. Participants were 123 adults aged 65 to 92 (16 males) who responded to a questionnaire that included the scales on Balanced Time Perspective, Cosmic Transcendence, Meaning in Life, Satisfaction with Life, Social Support and Relatedness. A substantial positive association between age and increased past perspective whith narrowing of future time perspective was observed. Balanced time perspective was positively related to greater transcendence and meaning in life. Satisfaction in life was significantly related to active social life, greater feeling of relatedness, but not to the size of social networks.
