Abstract

Evaluation of yarrow chemical content. Graudiņa L., supervisor Mag. Chem. Gigele R. Bachelor’s thesis in analytical chemistry, 49 pages, 26 literature references, 18 pictures, 11 tables, 6 appendices. In Latvian. In the research of literature, was got an idea about yarrows beneficial effects on human organism. Content of humidity, potassium, iron, copper, manganese and chromium in yarrow was determined in 3 different yarrow samples. For samples preparation dry mineralisation had been used. Quantitative analysis of potassium was performed by flame photometry, to determine content of iron method that was used is spectrophotometry and atomic absorption spectrometry. Copper, manganese and chromium was determined by using flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Qualitative analysis of organic compounds was performed by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. YARROW, ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM, POTTASIUM, IRON, COPPER, MANGANESE, CHROMIUM, HUMIDITY, DRY MINERALISATION, FLAME PHOTOMETRY, PHOTOMETRY, FLAME ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY, GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY
