Pētījums sastāv no divām daļām.
The paper describes adaptation mechanisms of bryophytes to unusual conditions. The aim was to clarify whether the continuous chlorophyll a fluorescence can be used to determine the bryophyte induced tolerance. The paper consists of two parts. To determine the desiccation tolerance of bryophytes and a possibility to apply the chlorophyll a fluorescence method in its valuation samples of three bryophyte species were collected. Bryophytes of the three species were analysed with the method during the desiccation period. To determine the parameters of bryophyte fluorescence in bryophytes at different temperatures, four types of species were collected.
The results showed that it is possible to use a continuous chlorophyll a fluorescence to determine the bryophyte induced tolerance. As seen from the obtained data there are changes in bryophytes during the desiccation period and as the water content in the bryophyte falls, the fluorescence parameters change as well. This indicates to the influence of substances on the process of photosynthesis during the stress of desiccation. Fluorescence parameters show that temperatures correlate positively or negatively with photosynthesis.
