Kiborgs, kā filmai Metropolis raksturīgs elements japāņu filmu kultūrā

Filma Metropolis ir viena no slavenākajām filmām pasaulē un ir priekšnācēja visām fantastikas žanra filmām. Šajā filmā tika attēloti koncepti par lietām, ko tā laika publika vēl nebija redzējusi – idejas par tik tehniski attīstītu sabiedrību, kur ir iespējama mākslīgās dzīvības radīšana. Roboti un neparasti cilvēku tēli – visām šīm lietām filma ir iedvesusi dzīvību. Darbā tiks pētīts aspekts, ko, manuprāt, filma Metropolis ir postulējusi – kiborgs, vai kā to sauc filmā: Der Maschinen-Mensch (mašīnas cilvēks). Šis aspekts tiks meklēts japāņu filmu kultūrā, konkrētāk – animē. Vēlāk šie filmas un animē elementi tiks salīdzināti un tiks meklētas kulturālās, vizuālās un kontekstuālās līdzības. Iegūtie materiāli bija pietiekoši, lai veiktu šādu analīzi. The movie Metropolis is one of the most famous movies in film history and is the pioneer of the science-fiction genre. The movie depicts concepts which the audience of that time couldn’t even imagine. Ideas of a society so advanced, it can create artificial life. Robots, unusual human characters – all this and much more has been brought to life by Metropolis. This paper will focus on the influence which this movie has brought upon the famous japanese anime, specifically the aspect of A.I. (artificial intelligence) or, also known as, cyborgs. To clarify this influence many animes will be looked at and closely examinated. The animes will be compared and searched for this particular element which Metropolis has pioneered. The gathered material and information was enough to conduct the necessary comparisons and make sufficient conclusions.
