Elektroniskā tirdzniecība ir viena no aktuālākajām tēmām, kas pēdējo gadu laikā radusies starptautiskajās tirdzniecības tiesībās. Tā izraisījusi plašas diskusijas gan tiesību speciālistu, gan šķīrējtiesnešu vidū; tomēr vienots viedoklis par elektroniskas formas ietekmi uz līguma spēkā esību joprojām nav izveidojies.
Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai un pie kādiem priekšnoteikumiem ANO Konvencija par starptautiskajiem preču pirkuma-pārdevuma līgumiem ir piemērojama elektroniskajai tirdzniecībai. Darbā tiek pētīta Konvencijas attīstība, mērķis un saturs, kā arī atklāts e-tirdzniecības piemērošanas juridiskais pamats. Darba noslēgumā autore sniedz vērtējumu par elektronisku paziņojumu juridisko spēku starptautiska tirdzniecības līguma slēgšanā.

Although it has caused intensive debate among the scholars and arbitrators, still no consensus about the legal impact of electronic form in international contracting has been reached.
The purpose of the master’s thesis is to consider whether and under which preconditions electronic commerce can be governed by UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. To achieve it, the author studies the historical evolution, purpose and content of the Convention and searches for the legal basis of its implication. In the conclusion the author gives her opinion about the legal validity of usage of electronic means in international contracting.
