Pēdējā nodaļa atvēlēta iegūtajiem secinājumiem The topic of the Bachelor’s thesis is Semiotic and audience analysis for "Dove Real beauty" campaign (2004 - 2014). The main objective of the paper is to find out what is the narrative structure, what are the signs and the elements that appear on the advertisements and what is the main message. As well as to find out the audience's perception in connection with the campaign and its advertisements.
Dove campaign for "Real Beauty" has been around succesfully for more than 10 years, therefore a part of the thesis is dedicated to the problem of whether and how the audience perceives the visual narrative, signs and messages of the campaign and its advertisements.
The work is structured in seven parts. The first four chapters discuss the theoretical literature on advertising, narrative, audience and semiotics building the theoretical foundation. The fifth chapter is devoted to the description of the research methods. The sixth chapter is the empirical part of the semiotic analysis and the survey result analysis of the advertisements. The final chapter is devoted to the conclusions.
