Bakalaura darbā „Sociālo tīklu lietošanas paradumi un motivācija skolas vecuma jauniešu vidū: dzimumu atšķirību analīze”, tika pētīts, vai sociālo tīklu lietošanā zēnu un meiteņu vidū pastāv atšķirības un kādas tās ir.
Darba teorētiskā daļa balstās uz sociālo tīklu teorijām, kā arī izmantota lietojuma un apmierinājuma teorija, kuras galvenais mērķis ir izprast interneta lietošanu.
Pētījuma daļā tika izmantotas intervijas ar 9.-12.klases skolēniem no dažādām Latvijas pilsētām, kurās iezīmējās galvenie sociālo tīklu lietošanas paradumi un motivācijas. Ar aptaujas palīdzību tika sasniegti jaunieši, kas iezīmēja kopējo ainu sociālo tīklu lietošanā vidusskolas vecuma grupā. Kā trešā metode tika izmantota sekundāro datu analīze no aptaujas, kurā piedalījās Rīgas skolu vidusskolēni. Darba noslēgumā tika apkopota aptaujās un intervijās iegūtā informācija un izdarīti secinājumi par paveikto. In the bachelor paper „ Habits and use of social networks among young people of school age: the gender difference analysis” it was analyzed whether there are differences in the use of social networks among boys and girls, and what are they.
The theoretical part of the bachelor paper is based on the theories of social networks, as well the use and the satisfaction theories were applied, the aim of which was to understand the use of internet.
In the research part interviews with 9 – 12 form pupils from different Latvian towns were carried out that unfolded the main habits and motivation of the use of internet. With the help of questionnaire, teenagers who outlined an overall picture of the use of social networks in high school age group were reached. The third method that was applied was the analysis of secondary data from the questionnaire, where pupils from Riga’s high schools took part. In the conclusion of the bachelor paper the information obtained in the questionnaires and the interviews was summed up and conclusions related to this information were drawn
