Cilvēka, īpaši sievietes, ārējam izskatam 21.gadsimtā ir ļoti liela sociāla nozīme. Ļoti daudzas sievietes saskaras ar vēdera priekšējās sienas izmaiņām grūtniecības rezultātā. Šīs pataloģijas attīstība var notikt neatkarīgi no dzemdību skaita.
The way people look like has a great social importance in the 21st century, especially for women. A lot of women have problems of postnatal changes of the anterior abdominal wall. The development of this disease can occur regardless of the number of births given. This cosmetic defect develops during an increase of intra-abdominal pressure, during pregnancy, when the fetus grows. Unfortunately, the only solution to this problem is surgery.
The aim of this research was to investigate the features of abdominal plastic surgery in cases of isolated postpartum abdominal wall defect, as well as its combination with umbilical hernia. While gathering information, the task was to find out whether abdominal plastic surgery is efficient and expedient, when dealing with postpartum changes of the anterior abdominal wall. The research took place in the Plastic Surgery and Esthetic Medicine Clinic LIPEX. 66 people, who had such surgeries in the clinic within the period of 2012 – 2014, took part in the survey of the presented research.
Analysis of the results showed that despite the varying degrees of pathology, abdominal plastic surgery allows you to remove the occurred changes in a short time and to return to normal physical activity. And that this type of surgery is safe enough. Patients who have decided to take this step and to restore the anterior abdominal wall were satisfied with the result.
