Bachelor`s work thesis - the therapeutic use of games for children in hospital.
The topicality of thesis determinates preschoolers psychological characteristics. Hospitalization is new and often confusing experience for them. This can best be observed in the preoperative assessment of stress in pre-school age children. The child's negative experience prior to surgery can cause various diseases, as well as behavioral changes.
The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of the method of the therapeutic games before the operation period, based on physiological parameters and vital parameters. Research objectives are to analyze the scientific literature about the therapeutic use of gaming in the preoperative period; To develop gaming complex and observe the patient during this; collect and analyze data; draw conclusions and put forward proposals. The hypothesis is - the therapeutic use of gaming in the preoperative period effectively reduces the physiological indicators - the pulse frequency, lower average blood pressure, reduces sweating, and body movements, the research question is how the usage of game therapy reduces preoperative stress levels of children in hospital.
Research tool - the protocol for children with measurements and observation. The research method is qualitative quantitative research.
Theoretical and practical studies led to the conclusion that it is important to use the therapeutic games as an essential pre-operative process to prepare children for the forthcoming operation, the game creates positive emotions, it helps to cope with stress before surgery, what confirms the hypothesis.
