Master thesis is written on 46 pages in Latvian. It contains 32 figures and 3 tables. There are 31 references to literature sources. Aim: to determine whether blur perception thresholds change in case of cycloplegia. Method: defocus was generated using source method – computerized blurring filter. Blur perception thresholds were determined by computer test with ascending (blur level increases) and descending (blur level decreases) method in two different conditions – with and without cycloplegia. Conclusions: a statistically significant difference between the blur perception thresholds determined with or without cycloplegia was not observed. Whereas thresholds determined using ascending and descending method between participants showed a number of similarities.
