The research aim is to look at the theory of balanced sampling, as well as the theory of the cube method that allows us to get a balanced sample, and compare which of the two methods gives more precise results- balanced sample or calibrated sample. There are four parts in thesis- two of them are theoretical material, a practical part and conclusion part. The conclusion part is based on the results of practical part what was done in program R and Microsoft Excel and on balanced sampling theory research. The thesis consists of 44 pages, including 33 tables and 2 images. There are 8 sources in references. Key words: balanced sampling, cube method, calibration, Horwitz-Thompson estimator.
