Tēla un formas aspekti metaforisko izteiksmju tulkošanā no angļu uz krievu valodu daiļliteratūrā: gadījuma izpēte

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt un aprakstīt metaforisko izteiksmju tulkošanas tendences virzienā no angļu uz krievu valodu. Lingvistiskās formas aspekts tika izskatīts atsevišķi no tēla. Stīvena Kinga romāna (Tumšais tornis 1: Strēlnieks, 1997) un tā divu tulkojumu salīdzinošā analīze ļāva izveidot korpusu kvantitatīvai analīzei. Izteiksmes izrādīja tendenci uz formas saglabāšanu tulkojumos, tēli tika atveidoti galvenokārt ar to pašu tēlu; cits tēls un skaidrojošais tulkojums sekoja pēc popularitātes. Salīdzinājumus saturošas izteiksmes visvairāk saglabāja gan formu, gan tēlu; epitetus saturošas tika skaidrotas visbiežāk. Dažu piemēru analīze izrādīja, ka tēla saglabāšana var tikt traucēta gan oriģinālvalodas, gan mērķa valodas leksiskā līmeņa dēļ.

The goal of this thesis is to study and describe tendencies in translation of metaphorical expressions from English into Russian. The aspect of linguistic form was viewed separately from the imagery. Comparative analysis of a novel by Stephen King (The Dark Tower 1: The Gunslinger, 1997) and two translations thereof enabled building a corpus for quantitative analysis. Expressions tended to retain the form; their images were rendered using mainly the same image; different image and reduction to sense followed by frequency. Simile-like expressions retained their form and image most of all; epithet-like were reduced more often than others. Analysis of some items showed how the lexical level of both the source and target language can obstruct retention of images.
