Japānas daudzpusējās attiecības ar ASEAN: proaktīvas ārpolitikas tendences

Abstract

Maģistra darbs „Japānas daudzpusējās attiecības ar ASEAN: proaktīvas ārpolitikas tendences” ir veltīts Japānas proaktīvās ārpolitikas izpētei daudzpusējās attiecībās ar ASEAN, uzsverot Japānas un ASEAN sadarbības stratēģisko nozīmību Japānas nacionālo interešu sasniegšanai. Darbs sastāv no četrām daļām. Pirmajā daļā tiek iezīmētas Japānas ārpolitikas pamattendences; otrajā daļā tiek analizēts Kenta Kaldera Japānas kā reaktīvas valsts modelis; trešajā daļā tiek apskatīti Japānas proaktīvās ārpolitikas piemēri ASEAN reģionā; ceturtajā nodaļā tiek analizēti iemesli, kādēļ Japānai aktuāla ir bijusi tieši daudzpusējā sadarbība ar reģiona valstīm un kā izpaužas Japānas līderība. Darba apjoms ir 67 lapas.

Master Thesis “Japan’s Multilateral Relations with ASEAN: Tendencies of Proactive Foreign Policy” is devoted to studying Japan’s proactive foreign policy in relations with ASEAN, emphasising the strategic significance of cooperation between Japan and ASEAN for ensuring Japan’s national interests. Thesis consists of four parts. The first part outlines fundamental principles of Japan’s foreign policy. The second part provides the analysis of the Kent Calder’s model of Japan as a reactive country. The third part includes examples of Japan’s proactive foreign policy in the ASEAN region. The fourth part provides the analysis of reasons, due to which multilateral cooperation with the countries of the region has been essential for Japan and how Japan’s leadership manifests. Thesis consists of 67 pages.
