Rētorikas topoi Juvenāla satirās

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Rētorikas topoi Juvenāla satirās” mērķis ir noskaidrot rētorikas topoi izmantojuma nozīmi / pamatojumu Juvenāla tekstos. Pētījums vēltīts rētorikas topoi veidu analizēšanai atlasītajos teksta fragmentos no Juvenāla pirmās grāmatas piecām satirām. Darbā izvirzīta hipotēze, ka Juvenāls savu domu / uzskatu / pārliecības atklāsmei izmanto stabilus, antīkās rētorikas teorijā iztirzātus un aprobētus topoi. Darba teorētisko pamatu veido no antīkajiem avotiem un zinātniskās literatūras iegūts kopsavilkums par topos jēdzienu, topoi klasifikāciju dažādu antīkās rētorikas teorētiķu (Aristotelis, Cicerons, Kvintiliāns) traktātos un to saturisko piepildījumu. Balstoties uz iegūtajām atziņām darba teorētiskajā daļā, autore klasificē četrus topoi veidus Juvenāla satirās: laika topos, vietas topos, personu topoi un dažādi topoi. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka Juvenāls izmanto stabilus antīkās rētorikas topoi, kuri pilda dažādas funkcijas: palīdz dzejniekam izteikt savu sašutumu un radīt sašutumu lasītājos.

The aim of this paper, titled “Rhetorical topoi in Juvenal's Satires”, is to clarify meaning and substantiation of rhetorical topoi use in Juvenal`s Satires. This study is devoted to analysis of rhetorical topoi types in selected text fragments from Juvenal's five satires, which can be found in his First book. Hypothesis of this study: Juvenal for revelation of his ideas/ views/ belief, use stable, in ancient theory discussed and approved topoi. The theoretical basis of the study is forming from the summary, obtained from ancient sources and scientific literature, in which can be found information about topoi concept, topoi classifications in various treatises of ancient rhetorical theorists (Aristotle, Cicero, Quintilian) and its fulfilment of content. According to knowledge, which was acquired in the theoretical part, the author classifies four types of topoi in Juvenal satires: time topos, place topos, individual/persons topoi and various topoi. The results of this study show that Juvenal use stable ancient rhetorical topoi, which can be apply for several functions, for example, they help to the poet to express his outrage and to create outrage in readers.
