Par darba tematu izvēlēta sabiedrības uzticība Latvijas tiesu varai un tiesnešu loma tajā. Darbā tiek apskatīts kritiski zemais uzticības līmenis Latvijas tiesu varai un tiesnešiem. Darba mērķis ir atrast iemeslus nepietiekamai sabiedrības uzticībai tiesu varai un tiesnešiem un piedāvāt autores ieteikumus situācijas uzlabošanai. Lai gūtu padziļinātāku sabiedrības viedokli, darba ietvaros veikta aptauja. Darbā ir analizēti aptaujā iegūtie rezultāti, kuri apstiprina zemo uzticības līmeni. Bez tam darbā analizēti statistikas dati, apskatīta tiesu prakse un izpētīta literatūra par šo tēmu, salīdzināta prakse citās valstīs, ņemta vērā personīgā pieredze, kā arī intervēti vairāki tieslietu eksperti. The author has chosen the topic of the level of trust in Latvian judiciary and the role of judges in it. In the paper the author takes a look at the society’s criticaly low level of trust in Latvian judiciary and judges. The purpose of this paper is to find reasons for the lack of trust in judiciary and judges and to offer author’s recommendations to improve the situation. To better understand public opinion, author created a survey about this topic. In the paper the author analyzes survey results, which confirms the previously stated that the level of trust is very low. Besides creating the survey author has also analyzed statistical data, studied court practice, researched literature about this topic and compared the situation in Latvian with experience in other countries, taken in account her experience, as well as done interviews with experts in this field.
